Essentially, I'm your friend down the street who was a full time teacher that started a small business as a side hustle for some extra cash and then accidentally quit their job and suddenly found herself here, talking to you. After five years in the biz, generating over seven figures in revenue, I've decided I can help others do the same.
So what does that mean? I help bad ass female-owned companies optimize their business and create stunning content.
I am a believer in personal style, saying what you mean, asking for what you want, and elevating your everyday, whatever that means to you.
My love for fashion and a boarderline unhealthy shopping addiction, led to me starting The Rose Hanger Shop in 2018. Named after my late grandmother Rose, this side hustle became my 'child', my calling & my passion. I left teaching in 2019 and perused TRH full time. And in 2020 purchased a gorgeous 150+ year old building with my husband to house my store front, warehouse and office space.
The Rose Hanger Shop started out of my living room, shipping from my dinning room table, which I quickly outgrew. I decided to plant my feet on Center Street in my home town of
Lewiston, New York.
We are now housed in a two story (technically 3 if you count the basement that I plan on using one day, don't tell my husband!) I have 6 employees and have brought in over seven figures in revenue. As an elder millennial, I have a deep love for marketing & social media. Remember when IG was nothing but Valencia filters and no ads? Or even better... when you needed an .edu email address for facebook?! (is my age showing)
When I'm not focused on my business, you can find me on my Peloton (smores12 - follow me!) or learning Italian. Rico (my husband) promised if I learn the language he'll take me there: challenge accepted.
MY REALLY OFFICIAL BIO, THE TL:DR VERSION
Sara is the founder of Alpha Align Agency. She's an OG social media lover, who was a full time teacher that started a small business as a side hustle for some extra cash and then accidentally quit her job and started a business that grew beyond her wildest dreams. And now helps bad ass female-owned companies optimize their business and create stunning content.
Now for the important stuff
I am obsessed with Peloton. Like seriously OBSESSED. I don't miss a single day ever on my bike or treadmill (and if I do, my husband hears about it)
01
I have 3 amazing step kids and 4 dogs. Our house is NEVER quiet. Also, if it was up to me we would have 84 dogs.
02
I am not lying when I say I have an unhealthy shopping addiction. We had to build me a SECOND walk in closet.
03
Friends is the best television show to ever exist (don't fight me on this) AND I have probably watched every episode at a minimum of 100 times.

I left my teaching job school, pursued curiosity and my love for fashion, and built the business of my dreams. Fast forward 5+ years later later, and I now educate female founders on how to do the same. With my educational background and self-taught business and social media strategies that were founded through passion (and necessity) to grow my small side hustle into a thriving business I'm proud to be the CEO of. And I now finally found my purpose, helping women show up on social media and in business with style and strategy.
In fact, just five years ago you would have found me in a cardigan in a Special Education Classroom: exhausted, overworked and underpaid. Two Masters Degrees, five teaching certifications, on my tenure track, and vested tier five in the NYS retirement system; I thought I had landed my dream job.
When I hit my 30's (30 is the new 20, right?), something in me flipped, and I knew I couldn't keep doing what I was doing until December 12, 2041 (the day I could retire). But just because THE dream didn't come true, doesn't mean it wasn't a dream come true. Up until that point that was my dream.
At 31, I invested $500 into a DBA and some product to launch my first "drop" (IYKYK). But little did I know, that would be my one-way ticket out of my unhappy job, into what I like to refer to as the clothing empire I'm running today. Now, you can find me as a CEO, a buyer, head of marketing and sales, a customer service representative, our website 'model', social media manager and a boss to six amazing young women. But don't worry, they are stepping up and taking over the reigns on a lot of these things, so I can focus on helping YOU grow.

Matcha lattes, running, intuitive eating, rewatching the Sopranos, power yoga, popcorn with melted peanut butter on top (TRUST ME), denim maxi skirts, anything & everything Sammi Jefcoate wears, all the things from YSL.
Work-life balance. I'm not sure that's even a thing. Your life isn't supposed to be 'balanced'. Life has seasons, and there's seasons of hustle and seasons of rest. I'm learning to harness the power of taking control of my own life and navigate these seasons.
Trust me when I say, I am NOT a model, but I play one on TV (well on my website) I would rather carry the title of "Role Model", with tons of pride and smiling with my eyes like Tyra taught me to.
